23.11.2011: Lecture by Deloitte about the latest tax & regulatory updates

Deloitte held a lecture about the newest tax, social security and immigration regulations at the German Centre on 23rd November. Afterwards, all participants had the opportunity to ask and discuss their open questions individually and directly with the Deloitte experts and to get to know each other in an informal atmosphere.

     


07.11.2011: Delegation of the commission for economy, energy and middle class of the parliament of NRW visited the German Centre

During their travel to India including the stations of Delhi, Pune and Mumbai, the delegation of the commission for economy, energy and middle class of the parliament of NRW visited also the German Centre Delhi.Gurgaon. After being welcomed and having heard a presentation by our Managing Director Martin Fuchs, the 25 visitors were guided through the German Centre premises. Besides listening to the field report of our tenant company Lödige Systems GmbH regarding their experiences in the Indian market, the delegates and our own tenants also had the opportunity to get to know each other while enjoying some snacks and drinks together.


21.10.2011: Diwali celebration

As Diwali is one of the most important cultural events in India, we have of course taken the occasion to celebrate this "festival of lights" in its traditional way together with our tenants. According to the Indian atmosphere, which was mainly created through the typical decoration, Indian snacks and sweets as well as the music, also most of our tenants were dressed in their prettiest sarees and kurtas. Furthermore, as an important part of the Diwali tradition, an Indian priest, who was holding a pooja, could not be missed. We have again sorted the prettiest pictures of this event, which you can find here. We wish you all "Happy Diwali" and some nice holidays ahead!

     


12.09.2011: German Centre tenants get-together in cooperation with Berentzen

As we could welcome so many new tenants during the last months it was high time to celebrate and to bring all our old and new tenants together in an informal atmosphere. Our new tenant Berentzen contributed an exquisite selection of schnapses and liquors to make its debut during this evening. We were very happy to see that there was such a high interest in getting to know each other and that the German Centre Community has grown more and more together. 25.07.2011: Further German class packages for beginners in cooperation with the Goethe Institute (Max Mueller Bhavan) from 1. August onwards 

Due to the high demand of German classes for beginners in Gurgaon, we are glad to offer two further A1-course packages in cooperation with the Goethe Institute (Max Mueller Bhavan) at the German Centre from 1st August 2011 onwards. The registration takes place from 27th to 28th July 2011 at the Max Mueller Bhavan. For further information, please click here.


16.07.2011: German class packages in cooperation with the Goethe Institute (Max Mueller Bhavan) started

Since 16th July 2011 we are offering various German class packages for beginners (A1) and advanced learners (B1) in cooperation with the Goethe Institute (Max Mueller Bhavan). All classes will be finished with an examination in December 2011 in order to receive the according CEFR-certificate ("Start Deutsch 1" for beginner level and "Zertifikat Deutsch" for advanced level) in the end. 09.05.2011: German language course started

In cooperation with the Academy of Applied Languages we have started the German language course for beginners since 9th May onwards. The participants are learning basic knowledge in the German language which enables them to hold first German conversations.


29.04.2011: Dance into May

Springtime has already started in Germany now, the birds are singing and flowers blossom. We have taken this opportunity to introduce a very German tradition to India: "Dance into May". In order to say goodbye to wintertime and to welcome the pleasant spring season, we have danced around a decorated wooden may pole while enjoying some typical German food and cold beer. We appreciate that so many guests have joined us on our event to celebrate this reason with us and we hope that we can welcome you soon again at one of our next events in the German Centre. If you are interested in some pictures, just drop us an E-mail.

   


18.02.2011: Delegation lead by Bavaria's Minister of Economic Affairs, Martin Zeil, visited the German Centre

During their visit to India (Bangalore, Pune, New Delhi), the 40-member delegation came to the German Centre. After a guided tour through the office facilities, the delegation received hands-on information about doing business in India. Speeches were held by Karl-Heinz Sturm, board member of the German Centre, and managing director Martin Fuchs. German tenant companies talked about their experiences in the Indian market.


20.01.2011: Hindi language course started

Beginner Course in Hindi started at the German Centre in January. The course will help to build a strong foundation of Hindi in order to communicate fluently with family, friends, colleagues or business associates in India and Germany.


04.01.2011: Talk on upcoming legal topics in 2011 by Dr. Kainth, Dr. Kainth & Asscociates LLP

Dr. Kainth, the Managing Partner of our new tenant Dr. Kainth & Associates LLP, a Bangalore based law firm which took up a desk in German Centre in November, hold a talk on legal issues. Topics of the talk were Changes introduced under Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 (FEMA), Clarifications with respect to foreign direct investment in Trading activities notified vide Circular no. 2 dated September 30, 2010 issued by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Revised list of items reserved for exclusive manufacture of Micro and Small Enterprises, Removal of caps with respect to Lumpsum fee and royalty payments in case of Technical Collaboration Agreements, The Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008. A lively discussion concluded the talk and the German Centre provided tea/coffe and munchies to this morning session.
